Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will celebrate the life and career of actress Angela Lansbury with a 24-hour programming tribute on Monday, November 21. Lansbury, who died Oct. 11 at the age of 96, began her movie career with an Oscar nomination for her role in Gaslight (1944). She went on to star in more than fifty movies, earn 6 Tony Awards for her work on Broadway, and garner 18 Emmy Award nominations for her role as Jessica Fletcher in the long-running TV show Murder, She Wrote. She continued working over nine decades, most recently in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery that will be released posthumously. She was a dear friend of TCM’s first host, Robert Osborne, and attended two TCM Classic Film Festivals in Hollywood.
