Welcome to Adventure Bay, the town where PAW Patrol: Fire Rescue takes place. Ryder is the boy who runs the show. Chase is a police dog. Marshall is a firefighter dog. Skye flies a cool, pink plane. Rocky is concerned mostly with chemical spills and other eco-problems. Rubble’s main concern is construction. And Zuma is specially keyed to water rescue. The antagonist is Mayor Humdinger of the next town over, Foggy Bottom, and his six devious kittens. The premise is that everybody who lives in Adventure Bay is too incompetent to master blowing out a match.

“Pups Save the Big BBQ” – The episode in which they build the town’s first Fire Rescue Station. To celebrate, the town wants to have a BBQ, but the portable grill gets away and starts fires all over town. One of the best parts of each mission is guessing who Ryder will choose among the pups to fight disasters and who will play second fiddle.
“Pups Save Lizzy’s Lemonade Blaze” – When Mayor Humdinger of Foggy Bottom attempts to steal Lizzy’s Lemonade sign, he and the kittens accidentally start a fire.
“Pups Save the Flaming Flounder” – Francois, the lighthouse keeper, somehow sets his pants on fire which float (that’s right, the fire floats) onto Captain Turbot’s boat, the Flounder, starting a second fire.
“Pups Make the News” – Mayor Goodway’s chicken, Chickaletta, starts a fire at the new parkette. Why they needed a new parkette is anybody’s guess.
“Pups Save a Baby Goat Birthday” – This is one of the blazingly clear titles. There is a baby goat who wanted a simple birthday party but instead unwraps a blazing inferno!
“Pups Save a S’more-mergency” – Count on Mayor Humdinger to almost get people killed making simple s’mores.
“Pups Save Fogstock” – Who? Mayor Humdinger. What? Fogstock the rock concert. Problem? Fire.
“Pups Save the Stage Actor” – This one has mountain lions. You really fear for the Pups on this outing.
“Pups vs. The Robo-Ducky” – Digi and Tal (there are a lot of episodes and a lot of minor characters) are friendly, local robots who have helped the Pups in the past. This time they create a robo-duck. It doesn’t go well.
“Pups Save the Lost Penguin” – Mayor Goodway accidentally confuses Chickaletta for a baby penguin. All the episodes are cute, but this wins the Cuteness Overload Award.
Ten great episodes that deliver exactly what your children are looking for: puppies who keep them safe. The writing is humorous and cute throughout. There are lots of tongue-in-cheek jokes for the adults, too. PAW Patrol: Fire Rescue is two hours of genuinely good, clean, fun.
