The nod to both summer-camp films and horror films set in summer camps make this enjoyable for the adults in the viewing audience.

The mystery tries to reach back to the more realistic ones that launched and then relaunched the series.

A terrific start for 2/3rds of the film is wasted in an overdone ending.

A misguided film that tries to force its scares and instead just bores.

This film feels like the plot of about three or four of the original episodes thrown together.
