CrimeCon 2025 is off to a roaring start in Denver, Colorado. I am excited to be back among the fans, speakers, creators, and vendors here at the Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center. While tomorrow I will definitely spend more time in the panels and presentations, today I wanted to get the lay of the land of this large three-day event.
Buy True Crime BlanketThis year’s con is spread out over three floors with the main ballroom on the first floor. The second floor is housing meet and greets, the expo hall and creator row, merch and book store, the VIP lounges, and breakout two. Breakout one rounds out the third floor.
And as soon as I walked through the CrimeCon 2025 archway, I ran right into the “Mayor of CrimeCon,” Josh Mankiewicz. But for those wondering if that is a one off, not at this con. You will not only see Josh out and about, but plenty of other speakers. Today alone, I spoke with Blayne Alexander and Madison McGhee of Ice Cold Case; Beth Karas, Matt Murphy, and Derrica Wilson of the Black and Missing Foundation; David and Kristen Mittelman of Othram; and Curtis Wilson and Tom Rizzo from On Patrol: Live.
But even if folks are too shy to approach these folks on the floor of CrimeCon, the event has plenty of meet and greets that are included in the price of admission. The vendor hall and creator row feel a little smaller than last year, but there are a lot of new faces as well as familiar ones as mentioned in the previous paragraph.
And while CrimeCon will see over 6,000 attendees this year, the word is still getting out about this con, so I only expect it to grow over the coming years.
