Hello. My name is Mat Brewster. I’ve picked The Princess Bride this week. Prepare to enjoy. It is a C.C.O.U.A (Criterion Collection of Usual Awesomeness) with a brand new 4K scan and loads of new and old extras. Including audio commentaries, an in-depth making-of documentary, interviews, features on the making of the film, and more.
Let me explain the plot. No, there is too much. Let me sum up. The Princess Bride is Rob Reiner’s adaptation of William Goldman’s beloved novel that lovingly satirizes princess stories while remaining a wonderful comedic adventure with plenty of romance and enough great lines to keep you quoting them until your end.
It is inconceivable (and I know exactly what that word means) that I would pick anything else.

The Spy Who Dumped Me: Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon star in this spoof about two women who embark on an espionage adventure after one of them finds our her ex is a spy.
The Darkest Minds: After a disease kills 98% of America’s children, the surviving 2% develop superpowers and are placed in internment camps. A teenaged girl escapes and joins a group of teens on the run.
Torso: Arrow Video does their thing with Sergio Martino’s giallo/slasher hybrid about a group of college kids who slip away to an Italian villa after their university is besot with murders. It’s a pretty good bet the murderer follows her there.
Hardbodies: Dumb ’80s comedy about a couple of middle-aged dads who go to California hoping to get lucky but wind up striking out. So they do what dudes in ’80s sex comedies do: they hire a student to help out. Hilarity and plenty of bikini-clad bodies ensues.
The Killing Kind: Vinegar Syndrome presents this ’70s horror flick about a dude who returns from prison seeking revenge on those who put him there. He then finds he has developed a taste for rough sex and gore-filled violence and a distaste for his mother and chocolate milk.
Blood Harvest: Another Vinegar Syndrome release. This time it’s horror from the late ’80s starring Tiny Tim as a demented clown.
Teen Titans Go! To the Movies: Theatrical movie version of the popular animated series that people keep telling me I’d love.
Mandy: Nicolas Cage stars in this thriller about a broken and haunted man who hunts an unhinged religious sect that slaughtered the love of his life.
