“The Warrior” – Knuckles is bored with life on Earth. There just isn’t enough for a warrior to do. He decides to serve as master to Wade Whipple’s (Adam Pally) apprentice. Wade is a bumbling deputy sheriff who has been kicked off his bowling league just before the big tournament in Reno, Nevada. Knuckles and Wade are being tracked with devious intent by Mason (Scott Mescudi) and Willoughby (Ellie Taylor), two rogue G.U.N. agents. Their plan is to capture Knuckles and sell him to a mysterious buyer. There is a giant fight in a bowling alley, and Knuckles is trapped in a cage and taken away.

“Don’t Ever Say I Wasn’t There for You” – Mason and Willoughby take the trapped echidna to a rendezvous point where they expect to sell him for top dollar. Wade has come across a giant fist that has been super-powered through the strength of Knuckle’s quills and is able to eventually secure Knuckles. The radio informs them that Wade is a fugitive. Knuckles recommends they hole up somewhere safe, and Wade decides it is time to go back to his childhood home.

“The Shabbat Dinner” – Knuckles and Wade arrive at Wade’s childhood home in time to celebrate Shabbat as a family. They meet Wade’s mother, Wendy (Stockard Channing), and his FBI agent sister, Wanda (Edi Patterson). Wade tells Knuckles that the reason he wants to bowl in Reno is because his father, bowling legend “Pistol” Pete Whipple, will also be competing. A bunch of bounty hunters show up for a rousing finale.

“The Flames of Disaster” – The next day, Jack Sinclair (Julian Barratt), Wade’s former bowling partner and a bounty hunter in his own right, kidnaps Wade for the reward. Knuckles believes that leaving Wade to suffer through the ordeal will help him learn the ways of the warrior. Knuckles does advise Wade to make a journey to the afterlife for assistance. There, Wade learns that a warrior’s greatest strength is his heart. This allows Wade to escape and Wade and Knuckles, joined by Wendy and Wanda, resume their trip to Reno.

The final two episodes, “Reno, Baby” and “What Happens in Reno, Stays in Reno” see the plot through to conclusion as Wade competes against his father in the bowling tournament; Knuckles has a grand fight with a mech-suited Buyer (Rory McCann), and Wade has to come to terms with his family. It is best to enjoy these episodes without any spoilers.

The Knuckles TV show is a fun ride to fill the gap between the hilarious Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (expected Christmas 2024). Three short commercials and a gag reel are included as bonus features.
