Press release: Start the week with some of Tinsel Town’s finest and most desirable actors, as getTV presents a special “Hollywood Heartthrobs” block, every Monday in March at 7 p.m. ET. The stunt pays tribute to some of the most distinguished and finely chiseled men to ever hit the silver screen and kicks off on March 2 with the incomparable Cary Grant in the Howard Hawks comedy HIS GIRL FRIDAY, and THE TALK OF THE TOWN, with Jean Arthur. Then, Steve McQueen soars as a bomber pilot in THE WAR LOVER with Robert Wagner, and BABY THE RAIN MUST FALL (March 9), with Lee Remick; William Holden stirs up trouble in PICNIC with Kim Novak, and schemes with Lucille Ball in MISS GRANT TAKES RICHMOND (March 16); Robert Redford deals with divorce in THE WAY WE WERE with Barbra Streisand, and goes on the lam in THE CHASE (March 23) with Marlon Brando; and Warren Beatty offends the mob in MICKEY ONE and falls under the spell of LILITH (March 30), with Peter Fonda.

Friday Icons puts the spotlight on cinematic legends all month long, at 7 p.m. ET. The 10-film lineup features Rita Hayworth in MUSIC IN MY HEART, and THE LOVES OF CARMEN (March 6) with Glenn Ford; legendary funnyman Jerry Lewis in THE BIG MOUTHDON’T RAISE THE BRIDGE, LOWER THE RIVER and HOOK, LINE AND SINKER (March 13) with Anne Francis; the original diva Joan Crawford in HARRIET CRAIGAUTUMN LEAVES with Cliff Robertson, and QUEEN BEE (March 20); and beloved everyman Mickey Rooney in BLIND DATE and HE’S A COCKEYED WONDER (March 27).

Saddle up with Hollywood’s greatest Golden Age gunslingers in the Saturday Westerns block, every weekend at 3 p.m. ET. The rootin’-tootin’ roster includes Stewart Granger in RAMPAGE AT APACHE WELLS and Randolph Scott in SANTA FE (March 7); William Holden and Glenn Ford in TEXAS, and Western icon John Wayne in ANGEL AND THE BADMAN (March 14); Joel McCrea and Yvonne De Carlo in SAN FRANCISCO STORY (March 21); Western serial star Buck Jones in BRANDED and BORDER LAW (March 28); and much more. Buck Jones will also be the focal point of getTV’s High Noon double feature in March, every Saturday at 12 p.m. ET.

Then, tune in for six more classic masterpieces in the Silver Screen Favorites block, every Sunday at 7 p.m. ET. Cary Grant and Anthony Quinn embark on a perilous rescue mission in the Oscar-winning war drama THE GUNS OF NAVARONE (March 1); Karl Malden helps Marlon Brando fight corrupt union bosses in the eight-time Oscar-winner ON THE WATERFRONT (March 8); Dean Martin stars as super-spy Matt Helm in THE SILENCERS and THE AMBUSHERS (March 15); Peter O’Toole leads a revolt against the Turks in the Oscar-winning epic LAWRENCE OF ARABIA (March 22), with Alec Guinness and Claude Rains; and a young orphan tries to find his way in the world in the 1968 Oscar-winning Charles Dickens adaptation OLIVER! (March 29), starring Oliver Reed.
